On October 15 the Casa Hotel in Chesterfield will come alive with Mediterranean-inspired energy for a vibrant afternoon of insight, connection, and celebration.

This event blends an inspiring daytime conference with an exciting awards evening that recognises rising talent and fresh ideas.

Expect engaging speakers, meaningful conversations, and a sun kissed atmosphere that carries through to a colourful, feel good celebration as we continue into the evening.

Lauren Thompson is Founder of Roots and Futures and Co-Founder of Citrey CIC; a civic and cultural hub being established in the centre of Derby. As a passionate advocate for youth voice, Lauren leads programmes and initiatives to ensure young people have genuine seat at the table in community conversations.

As a Pennine Way completer; a gruelling 268mile long-distance trail with a combined ascent that exceeds the height of Mount Everest, Lauren also bring stories of endurance and determination with key take aways to support future development.

After a break, Paul Ince from LikeMind Media will lead a session titled 'They've already googled you; building your professional presence before you need it'. Learn about how your visibility contributes to company sales, develop your own career and be the person clients ask for.

We'll end the daytime session with a panel of experts as they discuss 'Future-proofing your career: Skills, AI and Leadership in a Changing World.'

On the panel, hear from Darshan Nandha from Microtech Digital, Jade Lewin-Patel from Structural Adhesives and Paul Ince from Like Mind Media.

Before we tuck in to a delicious tapas style meal, we'll celebrate with all our finalists as we announce the winners of the 2026 Generation Next Awards. With seven categories to announce, there'll be a buzz in the air as we found out who our winners are from apprentice of the year to future leader.
