This workshop is open to businesses in Leicester and Leicestershire.

Business owners, directors and senior managers are currently faced with very difficult decisions in how to spread their budgets and how best to direct their financial spend in this very challenging business environment that we find ourselves in.

Energy prices, the cost of living, pay awards, inflation, interest rates, forecasting, supply chain, skills gaps, and more. In this climate, business finances are being juggled in a way not faced since the economic challenges of 2008/2009.

So, what action can businesses take right now? The advice from our speakers; is keep it simple and keep the focus on lean finance. Every business needs to understand the area of business according to ‘five types’ and then construct your lean finance accordingly. This is not an academic or theoretical approach, but a practical, role your sleeves up engineer’s approach, which can be used to turn around business quickly, because time is always of the essence.

Business owners tend to be afraid to have finance discussions because they feel they should be accountants or speak accountant terms, and that is nothing further from the truth. It’s all about simplicity and finances that impact your business type. The result, is a lean finance position that protects cash, allows efficient business operations and investment for growth.

**After attending this session you will be eligible for up to 6 hours of 1:1 support with our workshop delivery team. During your support time you will be able to take a deeper look into your business and work with the consultants to implement your learnings in your business.

This workshop will also run on 30 March and 4 May.

Business owners, directors, senior managers from non-finance and finance departments, managers with finance budgets across your business. Applicable across all sectors including Manufacturing, Hi-Tech, Hospitality, Construction, Retail and Not for Profit.

This presentation is delivered in partnership with Business Gateway Growth Hub and Qinesis and is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund. Places are limited and priority will be given to trading SMEs based in Leicester and Leicestershire.
