Do you want to join East Midlands Chamber and represent our members as a Non-Executive Director?
To support our succession plan, the Board of Directors are seeking additional Non-Executive Directors to join them.
Accountable to the Chair of the Board of Directors, you will act as a representative of the Chamber’s membership in regard to sector, geography and size of business.
East Midlands Chamber (Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire) provides support, advice and representation to businesses across the three counties and cities from offices in Chesterfield, Derby, Nottingham and Leicester along with a number of local delivery offices and workspace locations.
This is a non-executive role and is unremunerated. Expenses can be claimed for supporting Chamber activities as a Director of the company.

If you’re successful at this stage, you will be invited for an interview. If you’re unsuccessful, the Chamber will let you know by email.
To find out more about you, you may be invited to join an initial call. The next stage of the process is an in-person interview which will take place in May/June 2025. If your interview goes well, you may invited to attend a second interview or offered the role. At the end of the interview, the interviewer will confirm the timeline for next steps.
Interviews usually last around an hour with a mix of competency based interview questions, and in some cases, we might ask you to carry out some practical exercises.
Decisions will be made at each stage of the process, as we score applicants against the role criteria. If you’re successful, we will contact you to make an offer. This will be followed up in writing. If you have any questions, please contact us.
