Mental Health Productivity Pilot
MHPP is a collaboration of Midlands universities and other partners working together since 2019 to support Midlands’ business communities and their employees, to improve workplace mental health and to reduce the impact it has on sickness absence, presenteeism and productivity.
MHPP supports organisations of any size and sector to implement new workplace interventions at pilot organisations, and rollout existing interventions across the Midlands Engine geography.
The pilot is intended to help reduce mental health distress and break down the barriers to accessing care. Our aim is to reduce absence and incidences of reduced productivity due to poor mental health and provide effective, sensitive support for these staff within the workplace. The pilot also aims to reduce the stigma and discrimination associated with mental health, opening up conversations around the subject within the work environment.
More than 800 employers in your area have already joined the MHPP Journey.
Our support is tailored to local need and delivered in the Midlands by people who understand our region and are passionate about mental health, wellbeing, and economic growth.
Energy Systems Catapult
With the cost of energy rising to unprecedented levels, SME manufacturers are finding that energy costs are eating into profit margins and could potentially threaten the ongoing stability of their business.
The Smart Manufacturing Data Hub (https://smdh.uk/) is offering support through its partner, the Energy Systems Catapult, to help manufacturing businesses understand their energy use. There are tools and expertise available through ESC to get useful insights from energy data, enabling businesses to cut energy costs by identifying exactly how, when, and why they use energy without impacting productivity.
Lisa Brewer, Manufacturing Project Support and Account Manager for the Smart Manufacturing Data Hub will explain how SMDH works and how companies can access the support available.
