Event Banner Image
Description
Following the General Election in July this year we will be reaching nearly 150 days of a new government in December, with this in mind the conference will give the opportunity to reflect on how the regional economy has performed throughout 2024, the impact of governmental policy changes and what the asks are to help support growth in 2025 and beyond.

Government has delivered its first major economic intervention in October through the Autumn Statement, which informs how we evolve our manifesto, ensuring we continue to support, inform, and reflect the needs of the business community through our policy and lobbying activities.

In addition, we will focus on the regional political environment in the three counties, explore the importance of developing a clear industrial strategy and what the key levers are, to support sustainable growth.
Overview
With input from expert economists, politicians and business leaders, this session is for those wanting to learn more about the global, national and local factors that are influencing operating conditions and provides an opportunity to share ideas on how future business growth can be best supported.

The Conference also provides an opportunity for members from our Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire Member Forums, and other businesses, to enjoy some Christmas networking, sharing their views and insights from the past 12 months.
