Gedling businesses to gain insight into affordable marketing strategies at September network event

Getting the maximum impact for the effort taken is the theme of the next Gedling Business Support Network meeting, as business owners from the area are invited to learn practical tips on how to market their business on a limited budget.

Funded by Gedling Borough Council’s share of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) and delivered by East Midlands Chamber, the Network was relaunched in spring to help local businesses learn new skills, work together and stay informed about local and national business support.

The meeting takes place on Friday 27th September at Sacred Heart Community Centre in Carlton and any business located in or doing business in Gedling may attend.

Lindsey Newman-Wood

Passion Marketing’s Lindsey Newman-Wood will run a mini workshop on ‘Champagne Marketing on a Lemonade Budget’.  She said: “I’ll be sharing practical insights and creative ideas to help business owners maximise both their time and marketing budgets, ensuring they get the best return on investment.”

Blue Stamp Travel Managing Director Steve Manderson will discuss marketing initiatives within his business and the help he’s had from the Accelerator business support project.

Deputy Lieutenant for Nottinghamshire Mark Goldby will outline opportunities around the King’s Awards for Enterprise and Gedling Borough Council will provide an update on business support available.

Gedling Borough Council Portfolio Holder for Sustainable Growth and Economy, Councillor Jenny Hollingsworth said: “The Gedling Business Network Support Meetings have been well received by Gedling businesses and have been well attended. The September meeting offers a great opportunity to learn more about marketing on a budget and the business support offered by Gedling Borough. We’re also delighted to welcome Deputy Lieutenant Mark Goldby who will talk about the King’s Award. I very much look forward to meeting and hearing from our local businesses.”
